WATCH NOW, entering the 2D Cartoon World comic strip – one of the most instagramable cafes in Seoul! Yes, Greem Cafe now has become one of the most happening cafes in Seoul. Actually, Greem Cafe is not a new cafe in Seoul, but it is one of the most Instagram-worthy cafes and still trending until now. Fortunately, there was no queue at all when we visited this cafe on the 2nd day of our trip to Seoul (Korea) last week. Once we stepped in, it feels like we entered a world of cartoons or comics where everything comes in black and white line drawings, and we’re the only real people in it. Ha-ha… Everything in these cafes looks like in 2D dimensions, including their furniture, the mugs, etc. Look at my video below; you’ll get the idea of the optical illusion made at this cafe.
FYI, the original cafe was smaller than this. That’s why they moved to a larger area and the location, which is at YND 223-14 (Yeon-Nam-Dong 223-14) is just a few blocks away from their first store. But unfortunately, they only serve coffee, tea, and some cakes to avoid guests waiting in the waiting line too long. And guess what? Since this cafe went viral last year, every guest must order at least 1 drink or 1 cake!. Yes, don’t be surprised! Most cafes in Seoul use this rule, especially cafes that’s Instagram-worthy, famous and have lots of photo spots.
If you’re planning to come to Seoul this November 2019 or in December 2019, get ready, because the air is getting colder. It was 8 degrees during the day and it was raining, very cold, and I can tell you it’s FREEZING!. I still remember we had to cover our head and neck, and also wear gloves to keep ourselves warm. That’s why I really want to drink something hot and warm at Greem Cafe.
So sad, there aren’t many choices on the menu, so we just ordered a cup of hot Green Tea Latte (a classic one, smooth and creamy, but a bit too sweet for me), hot Toy Cafe Latte (basic latte served with a cute Robot made of sugar), and Pinkberry Cupcake, a total spend of 16,500won (equal to IDR 197,500,-).
Everything was nice! Overall, Greem Cafe is worth visiting, especially if you’re hunting for the instagramable spot and a good cup of coffee while in Seoul, Korea. So, that’s all from us, and we hope this travel guide will give you some inspiration of some of the Instagramable cafes must visit in Seoul, Korea.
